FINAL REPORT OF THE COLLABORATION AGREEMENT between Institute for Energy of the Joint Research Centre European Commission Petten NH - Netherlands (hereinafter JRC) and Istituto di Ricerche sulla Combustione - Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche Napoli - Italy (hereinafter CNR) This report covers the activities carried out in the frame of the collaboration agreement that was stipulated between JRC and CNR on 11th December 2006 with duration of three years. This Collaboration Agreement had the following objectives: a)To obtain the scientific data needed to full understanding the critical steps of co-gasification of coal and biomass/waste with appliance of catalytic processes for tar reduction and improving steam-reforming reactions. b)To improve the co-ordination and effectiveness of co-operation efforts between IRC/CNR and the Commission in the field of utilization of biomass, waste and coal for efficient energy generation for improving the security of energy supply. c)To promote mutual interest and co-operation in understanding and resolving renewable energy issues.
