A non invasive system for monitoring respiratory is described. The proposed measuring technique is essentially based on the use of two microwave interferometers to detect thorax and abdomen movements during breathing; by means of a sui table linear combination of such signals the tidal volume may also be obtained. Some experimental reisults are reported.
