The e-learning platform (moodle hosted by CNR-ISOF) is the Virtual Centre of the Raw MatTERS Ambassadors at Schools (RM@Schools) European project coordinated by Armida Torreggiani (CNR-ISOF), which started in 2016 with 6 partners from Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain, and Hungary . Since 2017 the project runs under the umbrella of the EIT Raw Materials Accademy. In 2018 RM@Schools 3.0 became the Flagship project in the Wider Society Learning segment of the EIT Raw Materials and the Consortium welcomed more partners. Nowadays, 21 partners from 13 European countries participate to RM@Schools 3.0 European project. Moreover, connections were established with other European projects, which take advantage of the educational method developed by RM@Schools. RM@Schools Virtual Centre hosts Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) for teachers of secondary schools and researchers collaborating with them. It is made available over the Internet without charge to a very large number of people. The Virtual Centre proposes and active learning by involving 10-19 years old students in experiments on raw materials. Learning pathways are supplied with detailed explanations and toolkits to perform hands-on experiments.
La piattaforma e-learning (moodle ospitata su server CNR-ISOF) è il "Virtual Centre" del progetto europeo Raw MatTERS Ambassadors at Schools (RM @ Schools) coordinato da Armida Torreggiani (CNR-ISOF) e iniziato nel 2016 con 6 partner provenienti da: Italia, Paesi Bassi, Belgio, Germania, Spagna, e Ungheria . Dal 2017 il progetto e` supportato dalla EIT Raw Materials Accademy. Nel 2018 RM@Schools 3.0 è diventato il progetto Flagship nel segmento della Wider Society Learning della EIT Raw Materials. Attualmente partecipano al progetto europeo RM@Schools 3.0 21 partner di 13 paesi europei e sono state stabilite connessioni con altri progetti europei, che sfruttano il metodo educativo sviluppato da RM@Schools. Il "Virtual Centre" di RM@Schools e` un "Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC)" dedicato in particolare ad insegnanti di scuole secondarie e ricercatori che collaborano con loro. È reso disponibile in Internet gratuitamente per un numero molto elevato di persone. Il "Virtual Centre" propone l'apprendimento attivo coinvolgendo studenti di 10-19 anni in esperimenti sulle materie prime critiche. I percorsi di apprendimento sono forniti con spiegazioni dettagliate e toolkit per eseguire esperimenti pratici.
