Abstract

This work reports an application study of a low voltage DC-DC boost converter, based on the LTC3108 IC, for the application on low power TEG. The efficiency of the whole system (TEM + boost converter) and energy balance with storing capacitors are investigated. By means of phase change material (PCM) embedded in heat sink of the thermoelectric generator, lower temperature differences. The system provides hundreds of ?W of output power, which are suitable for low-power WSNs or autonomous monitoring system.
