Feministisation tools can produce a different understanding of the economy. This is especially true for the urban commons which, all around Europe, have been a means to subtract public properties from financial speculation and transform them into shared means of production and a resource for solidarity and mutual aid activities. Everywhere in the world, commons are claimed and defended by indigenous populations, by women and feminist movements - and of course by people involved in environmental conflicts -who decide to share means of production and reproduction, different social relationships and experiences. In Naples, the commons are also understood as an institution of the subaltern. They are a political experience from a long history of self-organisation of the subaltern groups of Southern Italy, especially in Naples, which is often ignored and marginalised by both the state and the capitalist market.
