Performance calculator tool to predict the refrigeration capacity and energy efficiency ratio (EER) of the cascade HyCool chiller for a given industrial cooling process. The tool is based on a statistical analysis based on the result of the experimental tests carried out in the CNR laboratories, it is validated only for the tested cascade chiller type: an adsorption unit employing silica gel/water as working pair and a compression chiller using R1270 as refrigerant. The evaporator circuit from the adsorption chiller supplies the cooling water circuit for the compression chiller. It is important to clarify that the output of this report is estimated performance values. Results does not ensure that investing in HyCool technology will turn out to be a good investment. To assess the performance of the system in an accurate way a detailed study should be performed by an expert.
