One of the objectives of DEVILS project is the research and implementation of smart fault detection and health monitoring solutions for the innovative aircraft engine oil lubrication system designed and developed by DEVILS Consortium. The goal is to provide the system with a tool able to ensure a more accurate oil flow, temperature and pressure regulation and the implementation of prognostic function helping reducing operational and maintenance costs. The purpose of this document is, therefore, the definition of the fault detection and health monitoring algorithms, to be implemented in a special control unit, i.e. the Autonomous Monitoring and Fault Correction (AMFC) control unit.
