Aligning the panels of the MITICA beamline components

This document provides clarifications and proposals to the Supplier of the beamline components regarding the process for aligning the panels that includes activities from the preparation of procedures and tools to the achievement of the panel alignment as required in the assembly drawings. A first part deals with establishing datums, a second one deals with the alignment processes and how datums can be used to achieve alignment requirements. Nevertheless, the development of step-by-step procedures shall be agreed with the Supplier as it depends on the specific construction, assembly, and intermediate testing solutions implemented by the Supplier. Finally, some guidelines and references about the uncertainty budget are given.
