The organization of the context tree in MAGMA-Lisp is described. The algorithms for data retrieval and updating are discussed, as well as garbage collection. The possibility that garbage collection results into actually adding items to the data base is shown, and a condition to avoid such a situation is stated. Finally, a brief comparison with similar organizations is given.
