The close cooperation between different scientific disciplines is evidenced by setup of successfully operating working groups where Chemistry, Physics, various technical disciplines, and biomedical disciplines are interacting. The very valuable funding of networking activities by COST is enhancing the exchange of information from different players in the field in the meetings held, generates new ideas for alternative ways towards success, starts new cooperations evidenced by STSM, joint publications and joint project applications. The collected knowledge from many players combined with networking tools further sets a basis for educational and teaching undertaking in training schools, workshops and STSM's. The funding of networking activities by COST Action MP1206 over 4 years from 2013 - 2017 has been overly successful in generating a lively European wide multidisciplinary knowledge platform of about 1245 individual participations devoted to the single topic of electrospinning.
