This technical report concerns the work elements WE-2.4 and WE-2.8 within the WEAO EUCLID RTP 10.17 project "Submarine Motions in Confined Waters". In particular it documents all the data for the flow-measurement model tests carried out at the INSEAN circulating channel in the close-to-free surface, close-to-bottom and open-water conditions. At the same time, it represents the collation of all the flow-measurement experiments performed within the Project. The experimental set-ups used for the flow measurements for (a) the close-to-free surface and (b) the open-water and close-to-bottom conditions, respectively, are described and the related model-test uncertainty is discussed. The velocity components measured are reported as contour plots. They refer to all the test runs prescribed by the INSEAN flow-measurement test matrix and to all the six visualization planes selected by INSEAN for the different water-depth conditions along the submarine. Additional information (with respect to the mean flow) in terms of root-mean square of the mean flow, Reynolds stresses, turbulence level and vorticity is also reported as contour plots. The experimental data have also been made available through the Project website as data files to the Management Group and to the other Consortium members. This allows the comparison of the model tests with the CFD simulation tools used by the individual partners within the Project, as prescribed by Work-Element WE-4.5 .

Abstract
This allows the comparison of the model tests with the CFD simulation tools used by the individual partners within the Project, as prescribed by Work-Element WE-4.5 .I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
