According to the programme of Action B.6 of the NEREiDE LIFE project, this report describes the first psychoacoustical monitoring campaign and social survey carried out in the Municipality of Arezzo (AR) before laying the new road pavement with high acoustical absorption property. The activities are started on November 2018 and ended on December 2018 and can be splitted into four phases: the psychoacoustical monitoring campaign, the analysis of the sound recordings, the social survey and the analysis of the citizen responses. The psychoacoustical monitoring campaign consists of binaural recordings of the traffic noise along the road SR 71, one of the selected road of the project described in action A.2 , in six different measurement sites. Afterwards the sound recordings have been analyzed in order to determine the psychoacoustical indicators defined in action B.3.All the indicators together made up the so called psychoacoustic fingerprint. In this way each site it has been identified with a proper ante-operam psychoacoustic fingerprint that will be compared to the post operam psychoacoustic fingerprint in order to evaluate the changes. The social survey, handled by SOCIP s.r.l. and directed by the CNR-IDASC, was focused to assess for the selected population sample living along the SR 71, the inhabitants' attitude towards noise and the degree of annoyance perceived. The SOCIP s.r.l. has been charged to deliver and to collect the questionnaire, while CNR-IDASC has analyzed the responses of the citizen using different statistical analysis methods. The delivering adopted method, the same used for Massarosa, allows to get around the 28,56% of the returned compiled questionnaires against a traditional 30%. In the same way of the psychoacoustic fingerprint the results of the ante operam survey will be compared to the results of the post operam survey .
