The core of the activities B.11 is the measurement of the absorption coefficient of the road pavement using a mobile laboratory and the measurement is performed in a contactless way while the vehicle is running. After a theoretical approach on the absorption coefficient measurement (report of the activities B11.1 [1] ) and the first test in laboratory of the measurement system principle (report of the activities B11.2 [2]), here will be presented the stabilization system that will be installed on a moving vehicle, hosting the platform with specified acoustic instrumentation for the acoustical absorption coefficient measurement. The purpose of the stabilization system is to keep the mobile platform at a fixed distance from the roadway, regardless of the oscillations due to the movement of the vehicle.
