In the last fifteen years many papers have been published on the two data obtained by NMR spectroscopy: chemical shift and indirect coupling constant. When evaluating the indirect coupling constant, the Fermi contact term is the most preminent one among the others, therefore it is the only term needed for semiempirical evaluation or to help a theoretical interpretation of all nuclear parameters.
