A contract has been stipulated for technical/scientific consultancy and technology transfer activities (ISTEC Contract N. CO-2022-01 protocol 117/2022 of 31/01/2022) between the National Research Council - Institute of Science and Technology of Ceramic Materials (CNR-ISTEC) and Industrie Bitossi S.p.A. . Industrie Bitossi (IB) has expressed the need to proceed with the industrialization of a series of ceramic materials based on B4C-TiB2 developed by ISTEC researchers through technology transfer and industrial scale-up activities. The ISTEC know-how, on materials and on the process developed, is the subject of a patent application for industrial invention in the filing phase. The development of the program provides for a logical sequence of production and characterization of materials that will allow the definition of one or more high-tech ceramic materials suitable for the application of Industrie Bitossi as well as the corresponding optimal manufacturing technology.
