Aim of task 5.1 is to develop a specific modular machine, so as to rapidly produce - at retailer premises - accommodative insole according to the following approach. A "stargate" element, endowed with a number of independent mini-milling tools - disposed in multiple rows - will be the basic module to mill insoles with high precision and no rework. Such module will be composed according to 2 different layouts, depending on final target product: o accommodative mono-material insole, a single stargate will be moved along a specific direction, with milling in 1 step with adequate creation of a single side geometry; o accommodative multimaterial insole, a double stargate, put in opposition, will be moved along a specific direction, to mill each layer with adequate creation of a double side geometry. Resulting layer will then be coupled so as to build the final insole.
