This document reports the development of an Allison type emittance scanner for the characterisation of the SPIDER beam. The equipment will be tested first in RF plasma produced in the CRISP facility at Consorzio RFX; the realisation of CRISP is also described. Finally the gas density distribution inside the ELISE accelerator was computed by means of the Avocado code. The specific activities are described in the annexed documents.
