The main concept of "membrane technology" includes the intent of representing a separation infrastructure useful to replace the conventional separation processes in various industries. Membrane technology has indeed become a prominent separation technology over the past decennia. The most salient feature of membrane technology is that it works without the addition of chemicals, with a relatively low energy use and easy and well-arranged process conductions. Membrane technology is a generic term for a number of highly characteristic separation processes. These processes are of the same kind because in each of them a (different) membrane is used. Membranes are used more and more often for the creation of various processes such as water/wastewater treatment and gas separation processes. These potentialities are attracting special interests particularly in the countries in which extending this technology can help solve the existing issues related to the climate change and environmental pollution caused by the harmful emissions. Nevertheless, there is no a comprehensive reference to analysis of transport phenomena during various membrane processes. Hence the main aim of this book is, from one side, to describe the governing transport phenomena in various membrane processes regarding the scientific achievements in recent years; and, on the other side, to serve as a "one-stop" reference resource for important research accomplishments in the area of analysis of membrane processes based on mass transfer driving force. This book is anticipated to be an extremely valuable reference source for university and college faculties, professionals, postdoctoral research fellows, senior graduate students, and R&D laboratory researchers working in the area of modeling of membrane technologies. The various chapters were contributed by prominent researchers from industry, academia, and government/private research laboratories across the globe. Indeed, the book is an up-to-date record on the major findings and observations in the field of membrane processes.

Abstract
Indeed, the book is an up-to-date record on the major findings and observations in the field of membrane processes.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
