Deliverable 1: Activity 1.1 - Knowledge advancements. As specified in the Technical Annex of the Research Contract ""CATALYTIC STUDIES IN HDO PROCESSES", the research activity of first work-package ("Activity 1.1"), is devoted to the recognition and analysis of the state-of-the-art regarding the hydrotreating (HDT) process of vegetable oils, with particular concerns on the hydro-deoxygenation (HDO) of rapeseed oil for the production of bio-fuels. The preliminary bibliographic study has been conducted mostly to compare the operative conditions of HDO tests (i.e. aiming to select and define the best operative condition for the study, properly) and the analytical set up, or the techniques, for the evaluation of the performance with those reported in the specialized scientific literature for the measure of the catalysts activity in the HDO of rapeseed oil.
