Service S4: Preparation Patent Application

This IP Booster service comprises preparation for patent, design and trademark applications, aligned with business needs. The service can cover representation and defence of these applications to the European Patent Office (EPO) and EU intellectual property office (EUIPO) or national Intellectual property offices in the Member States or in third countries. Depending on the focus on the service, (patent, trademark or design right) the service will typically cover the following aspects: ?Patents: assessing novelty (prior art search based on key words and technology classes); defining the breadth of the claims; advising on the geographic coverage and patent prosecution pathway. ?Trademark: advising on the likelihood of the mark being accepted based on the criteria for registration; advising on the target territories and classes for the mark linked to anticipated commercial use; checking for novelty and freedom to operate/ potential for infringing existing marks based on existing registrations and/ or established use in the target territories and classes. ?Design: advising on the likelihood of the design being accepted based on the criteria for registration; advising on the target territories for the design linked to anticipated commercialisation; checking for novelty and freedom to operate/ potential for infringing based on existing registrations and/ or established use in the target territories.
