L'attività si sviluppa nell'ambito degli Sudi Socio Economici (SES) di EUROfusion
As a follow up to the extensive work carried out on media representations in SES, as well as on public attitudes, the analysis of representations of fusion in social media, in particular online social networks, can give access both to institutional representations (content uploaded by fusion organisations) and to individual representations (content uploaded by citizens), to different kinds of content (text, images, videos), to quantitative information (who is posting, when, where, how many posts) and to qualitative data (what is being said about fusion). Results: Overall, nuclear fusion is a fairly minor topic on Twitter. Despite the hundreds of thousands of tweets located through scraping in six different languages, it pales in comparison with the average of 500 million tweets per day and around 200 billion tweets per year. Fusion also tends to generate relatively scarce interactions on Twitter: the analysed tweets (selected among the most retweeted in each language) generated on average 38 retweets, 81 likes and 3.5 replies (Table 3). These forms of interaction are more common in tweets in English and, to a lesser extent, in Spanish and very scarce in tweets in Polish and Portuguese.
