This document presents the deliverable D2.4 "Tools for the economic simulation of new services and business models" of the CarE-Service Project. The deliverable is the work performed under task 2.4 "Socio-economic simulation of new services and business model". It aims to present a methodology for economic assessment of CarE-Service three recovery value chains of battery, metal and techno polymer as well as ICT Platform and Mobility services. For this objective, diverse methods of data collection (the result of WP2, WP5, WP4, WP6 and consortium virtual meeting) were used to identify various stakeholders' costs and revenue breakdown in each value chain. Thereby, such cost and revenue structures served as a basis through which the calculation of economic indicator such as NPV, PBT and IRR could be carried out. Moreover, different scenarios were taken into account to define various strategies which might occur in each value chain in such a way a broad range of hypotheses have been taken in to consideration. Such method provides a solid foundation for a sound economic assessment. The deliverbale has partialy closed on M24 and needed to be improved since the economic assessment for mobility services and the ICT platform were not included on the version of M24. The deliverable updated and finalized on M27 (August 2020) and it is uploaded on M42. The improved sections are: scenario analysis of economic assessment for each value chains, an economic assessment of the mobility services and the ICT Platform with tables of costs and revenues in the sections 3.4 and 4.5. Moreover, a general improvement to the whole description of the deliverable compared to the previous version is also applied.
