This deliverable reports the work of task T6.4 that addresses the development of a business model for the ICT Platform. Under this task the business model for the platform is defined. It specifies the platform ownership, operational responsibility, and revenue model able to guarantee long-term sustainability. The business model is designed in the details and described using the value proposition canvas and the business model canvas. Another tool, supporting the business model canvas, is the stakeholder network diagram. This instrument is used to identify potential stakeholders, such as business owner, customers, suppliers, partners, and show their interactions. The value proposition canvas is a tool to design, test, build and manage great customer value proposition. It is a plugin to the business model canvas, as it is based on two elements of the business model: The customer segment who we intend to create value for, and the value proposition which creates the most important gains and eliminates or reduces the most severe pains for customers. This task runs in close connection with WP2 and WP4 and more specifically D2.1 and D4.4, since the platform must support the establishment of the new re-use value chains enabled by the operation of the SMMs. The platform business model will provide information to complete the configuration and assessment of business models defined in WP2 and WP4. The main components which form the CarE-Service ICT Platform are the following four IT-products: o The marketplace, o The SMM client application (for both dismantling and testing SMM), o The SMM booking application, o The logistic component, responsible for the shipment of the goods which are traded in the marketplace. The elaborated business model canvas is based on feedback from relevant potential stakeholders of the ICT Platform. Dedicated interviews were conducted with potential users of the ICT Platform and the marketplace, either as sellers in the marketplace or as buyers or taking on both roles. The results support the understanding of the different customer segments and support the implementation of the different value propositions for the different stakeholders. As it was agreed in the 3rd version of the project amendment (31.03.2021), the end date of the Task 6.4 was changed to M42, according to the 6-month project extension, to recover delays already discussed during the project 18 months review meeting.
