Novel metrics for processing SHG images with texture analysis

The basic idea of the method is to analyze a small part of the SHG image, called window, and obtain the orientation and the order of the fibers in it. After that we can evaluate if a main direction of orientation exists and how much is the degree of fibers alignment along such main direction. Moreover, besides the orientation and the degree of order orientation we can also interested in answering the question what type of anisotropy is presented at a given point.
