This code can be used for the computation of Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index (SPEI) time series at a global scale as well as for the trend analysis. The latter includes either the common non-parametric Mann-Kendall test or a trend test for the different classes of drought risk based on the Poisson process.
