Butterfly glossary: "an internet and data communication glossary"

The Glossary of networking terminology presented in these pages has been compiled from the publications "User Glosary Working Group" RFC1392 Internet Glossary January 1993, and "A Glossary on Networking Terms" RFC1208. We thought it important to supplement them with further terms deemed indispensable for a more general treatment of the topics. Most of the additions have come from consulting "Data communications and standard" published by "Retix-2401 Colorado Avenue, Santa Monica, California 90404-3563 USA" and the by now classic work "ZEN and the Art of Internet" by Brendan P.Kehoe, First Edition, January 1992. Several of the terms concerning new ways to access net services from bot EARN and The Internet have been drawn from "The Guide to Network Resurce Tools", April 13, 1993, wich has been compiled by the EARN Association.
