The main objectives of WP7 concern the investigation of environmental impact through LCA analysis, the economic evaluation of the SolBio-Rev system (life-cycle cost and cost-benefit analysis), and the investigation of system integration aspects in buildings. This deliverable “Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) report” shows the study done to evaluate the environmental impact of the SolBio-Rev system and its comparison with a traditional reference system. In particular, this study was carried out using an LCA approach considering a theoretical SolBio- Rev system that could be installed in a real building. Results of the life cycle impact assessment showed that the SolBio-Rev system has a higher impact compared to a standard reference system due to the higher number of components and the primary energy consumption of the operational phase. Adopting a strategy oriented more on biomass and reducing carbon emissions and the optimization of novel components could help to reduce the total environmental impact of components and achieve a lower impact and higher system efficiency.

Abstract
Adopting a strategy oriented more on biomass and reducing carbon emissions and the optimization of novel components could help to reduce the total environmental impact of components and achieve a lower impact and higher system efficiency.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
