The purpose of this Delivery is to report on the results of the tests of the SWS-STES system done in Stockholm as the final stage of the SWS-Heating project. Results already included in earlier reports will only be repeated briefly when necessary for the readability of the text. In particular, this report should be read as a continuation of the report from the evaluation tests done at OTH in Regensburg, labelled Deliverable 6.7, “Energy performance analysis of SWS-heating system in Germany“. As stated there and described in earlier Deliverables, a test module of a heating system with energy storage has been developed within the SWS-heating project, with the aim to demonstrate the possibility of long-term chemical storage of thermal energy for heating and domestic hot water production in modern, near net energy houses. The system has solar thermal panels for collecting energy during the summer time, or whenever solar energy is available, thermal storage modules, a water tank with thermal stratification for short term storage, a room with underfloor heating and the possibility to simulate a hot water load. All is built into a 45 ft container. The system was first commissioned in Lleida, Spain, by UDL, then transported to OTH in Regensburg, Germany for testing in a central European climate, and finally to Stockholm for testing by KTH in a northern European climate. Descriptions of the system are found in Deliverables 4.1, 4.3 and 4.4. and further details about the components and systems design are found in other Deliverables.

Abstract
Descriptions of the system are found in Deliverables 4.1, 4.3 and 4.4. and further details about the components and systems design are found in other Deliverables.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
