The “Submerged nearshore areas vegetation mapping report” (WP5102) outlines dataset, methodology and water quality and substrate/canopy coverage products obtained for the specific study areas investigated. The data used included multi- and hyperspectral Earth observation data, such as Sentinel-2 and PRISMA, respectively. The submerged vegetation cover maps, the characterisation of the different types of submerged vegetation and the bathymetry of the coastal shallow water case study together with the water quality maps (i.e. suspended particulate matter - SPM, turbidity and chlorophyll-a - Chl-a) are the main outputs of WP5102 according to the interest of the scientific community and the water management institutions involved in the dissemination activities.
