Based on the activities reported in the proposal, the first months (M1-M3) of the project, titled: “Sistemi di desalinizzazione solari ibridi ad adsorbimento-eiettore per la produzione di acqua a basso costo (HySoDes_Solar hybrid adsorption-ejector desalination system for low-cost clean water), were devoted to review the current desalination systems, focusing on new solutions in terms of materials and technologies. The Italian and Egyptian partners worked together for a good understanding of the current solution of SAD and ejectors technology, and to review the literature data on sorption materials used in desalination systems.
