Abstract
The M-TES project envisions a game-changer approach to thermal energy storage (TES) systems introducing novel metallic Phase Change Materials, m-PCMs, tailorable in term of enthalpy-temperature relationships and heat transfer properties to meet the material requirement for flexible TES or Thermal Energy Management (TEM) systems. While the implementation of such new materials requires a combination of excellent research and innovation constantly and efficiently connect to strategic stakeholders, the project outcomes need a careful management as well, not to jeopardise potential marketable solutions and key scientific results to be shared with the scientific community. This document targets the management of the research data generated within the project. In agreement with open science requirements in Horizon Europe. The Data Management Plan (DMP) aims to support the data management life cycle for all data that will be collected, processed, or generated by the project in line with the FAIR principles. For each data set, the DMP will specify what data will be collected, what methodology and standards will be followed, how it will prevent unnecessary duplication, how it will be curated and preserved during and beyond the end of project, how the data will be exploited or made accessible to the end users, and how project will facilitate pursuit of market opportunities from the data. The consortium will endeavour to make all data accessible to the public for verification, further re-use and preservation. However, it is necessary to consider that some of the data could be part of the IPR of individual data provider or be under embargo period, therefore may be protected and not made accessible to all.
