This deliverable concerns the capacity building of IMT’s staff and young researchers, and the promotion of the gender equality, diversity inclusion. The NET4Air project has made significant progress in enhancing research management capacities and promoting gender equality, inclusion, and diversity. In the first 18 months, young researchers, international students, and experienced staff have been involved in various activities for environmental monitoring, leading to the recruitment of PhD students and postdocs, the publication of peer-reviewed papers, and the preparation of funded project proposals. A key focus has been on promoting gender equality through the implementation of Gender Equality Plans (GEPs) and initiatives to address the gender gap in STEM fields. Seminars, workshops, and training courses have raised awareness and fostered discussions on gender equality, contributing to a more inclusive scientific environment. Moving forward, NET4Air will continue with scientific visits and training courses to further develop the skills of young researchers. The consortium will also maintain its commitment to gender equality by organizing more events and supporting the implementation of GEPs across partner organizations, ensuring lasting contributions to both scientific research and gender equality.
