Approaches to research capacity strengthening that support the sustainable IMT ownership, and the wider sharing of learning and knowledge, are essential to the future of research at IMT as well as for the whole Net4Air consortium partners to find solutions to the many challenges related to air monitoring and air pollution remediation. Within the NET4Air project, Work package 3: Simulating scientific excellence and innovation capacity in environmental monitoring and remediation and IoT for data processing and awareness/alarming. WP3 strategy has three components. • The first is to advance theoretical and conceptual understandings of capacity strengthening. • The second is to support the implementation of capacity strengthening through ‘embedded learning’ research (this involves enhancing programme success and highlighting ‘good practice’ for current and future initiatives). • The third is to develop and apply frameworks and tools appropriate for tracking and measuring the progress, outcomes and impact of capacity strengthening interventions. Through its actions, WP3 aims to contribute to enhancing individuals’ skills, organisational research environments and cultures, as well as national research systems. Improvements at these levels lead not only to more effective and impactful research in air monitoring systems but also improve the motivation and retention of researchers and research managers.

Abstract
Improvements at these levels lead not only to more effective and impactful research in air monitoring systems but also improve the motivation and retention of researchers and research managers.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
