RISIS WP5 Deliverable 5.3 Final report on training activities

This report provides a comprehensive overview of the training activities carried out within the RISIS project under Work Package 5 (WP5). The main objectives of the training were to enhance researchers’ skills in using large datasets, to promote the potential of RISIS infrastructures, and to demonstrate RISIS’s impact on the scholarly community. Three types of courses were delivered – Short Courses A (SCA), Short Courses B (SCB), and Summer Schools (SS) – each tailored to different needs and audiences. Over 300 participants from 25 countries and 3 international organizations attended the training activities (23 courses in total over 4 years), which were widely appreciated for their methodological depth, practical relevance, and hands-on approach. The report also highlights organizational processes, participant feedback, key outcomes, and recommendations for future training initiatives, including the adoption of online and interactive formats.
