This report provides a preliminary Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for a long-duration redox flow battery under development by Synergy Flow S.r.l. based on a polysulfide electrolyte. In particular, two main cradle-to-gate LCA analyses were carried out comparing the environmental impacts related to different sulfur supply chains (centralized and decentralized) and different polysulfide electrolyte formulations, without considering the use and end-of-life phases.
