Information Technologies for Cultural Heritage

Cultural heritage, which includes tangible assets such as works of art and historical sites, and intangible assets such as traditions, languages and knowledge, is essential for the collective memory and identity of communities. However, its conservation and valorization requires innovative ap- proaches and advanced technologies to address challenges such as physical deterioration and global accessibility. In this technical report, opportunities and challenges related to the usage of infor- mation technologies in cultural heritage will be illustrated, outlining a panorama that combines innovation, creativity and responsibility.
