The present report refers to the updates of a study carried out in 2020 on a Digital Texturing Machine, named PDT™ (Pomini Digital Texturing), produced in Tenova-Pomini Castellanza facility (Italy), starting from different components and functional elements. The main reason to carry out the study is to provide a solid reference to the external stakeholders, in order to support eco-design solutions starting from high quality primary data. Such activity is going to produce first certified LCA indicators on metal texturing machine according to a specific supply chain from raw material extraction up to and machine dismissal. The process under study is a digital texturing for rolling mill rolls in laminating process to correct surface quality on the metal sheet, in order to grant performance in terms of paintability and formability. The PDT™ is derived from internal design. Within the framework described above, intended applications of the present LCA study can be described as follows:  To certify PDT™ to first Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) declaration within the Product Category Rule (PCR) scheme 44211 - Division Machine - Machine-tools for working materials by removal of material, by laser or similar processes (draft 1.0 for open consultation)  To allow TENOVA-POMINI to contribute with process specific data to building LCA-based framework to provide evidence of effective environmental impacts of surface metal working.  To allow TENOVA-POMINI to identify environmental hot spots in its product chain The results of the study are not intended to be used in comparative assertions to be disclosed to the public. The study is intended to be critically reviewed by an independent external reviewer.
