The SimBOT represents a simplified model for the functional representation of a device used in the construction of, for example, hydraulic, thermal, or electrical circuits. The objective of this document is to introduce a methodology for creating a SimBOT capable of representing an adsorption heat pump or chiller, specifically focusing on the rack-integrated chiller developed in the framework of the HYCOOL-IT project. The methodology can then be adapted to other machines that use similar technology (e.g., absorption chillers, thermal storage, etc.). The methodology illustrated in the following sections envisions the adsorption chiller as a black box, whose performance is described using performance maps certified by the manufacturer. The complexity of both the functional cycle and the components used precludes a greater level of detail at the component level. However, other SimBOTs can be used to describe the auxiliary components (e.g., valves, pipes, pumps, etc.) that are part of the connection circuit between the adsorption chiller and the user. The performance maps used in this document are based on experimental data obtained in the manufacturer's laboratory and certified by it.

Abstract
The performance maps used in this document are based on experimental data obtained in the manufacturer's laboratory and certified by it.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
