The activities reported in this working paper were carried out by INSEAN for the collaborative research programme THALES JP 10.111, entitled "Advanced Monohull Concepts". One of the aim of this programme was to obtain knowledge on hydromechanic characteristics by numerical and model test studies on systematic variations of advanced monohull concepts. In this report the grid generation of the ship hull, to be used by INSEAN in the CFD simulations for the project, is described. The grid was generated by means of a commercial grid generator named ICEM CFD ver. 4.0 only for the bare hull condition.
