Among the ceramic products, porcelain stoneware tiles stand out for their excellent technical characteristics in terms of chemical, mechanical and tribological resistance. White porcelain stoneware is one of the wide range of product typologies, obtained by special raw material formulations and characterized by an increased whiteness of the ceramic body. Since a complete understanding of the relationships between the functional properties in working conditions and the physical and microstructural parameters has not been achieved, the present work analyses the behaviour of polished white porcelain stoneware tiles, supplied by Brazilian and Italian industries, in order to investigate the mutual correlations.

Abstract
Among the ceramic products, porcelain stoneware tiles stand out for their excellent technical characteristics in terms of chemical, mechanical and tribological resistance. White porcelain stoneware is one of the wide range of product typologies, obtained by special raw material formulations and characterized by an increased whiteness of the ceramic body. Since a complete understanding of the relationships between the functional properties in working conditions and the physical and microstructural parameters has not been achieved, the present work analyses the behaviour of polished white porcelain stoneware tiles, supplied by Brazilian and Italian industries, in order to investigate the mutual correlations.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
