The beginning of the Iron Age in the Levant was characterized by several remarkable changes as well as by cultural continuity. Among the significant changes, which took place in the material culture, was the disappearance of a new local "monochrome" pottery, morphologically and stylistically linked to Aegean and Cypriot models.

Abstract
