The paper presents the results of collaboration between the Italian National Research Council (CNR) and the Italian National Institute of Safety and Health at Work (ISPESL) aiming at developing an information system - RIS-OSH (Research Information System on Occupational Safety and Health) - which gathers project descriptions and related outcomes. In the presentation of this case study, particular attention is put on the analysis of the process actually performed at ISPESL, when it funds research projects at external institutions. Workflow and information flows featuring the different steps of a project are described and some examples of the main functions of user interaction are given.
