Using topos theory, an algebraic approach to uncertainty is presented. It is shown how different aspects of uncertainty (imprecise probabilities, probabilities and possibilities) can be described as special cases of a categorical definition of uncertainty. It is proved that also the computational machinery of the different theories has an algebraic description.
