Manganese thiophosphate MnPS(3) powders have been intercalated with potassium, cesium and sodium by means of an ion-exchange process which consists of one or two steps according to the, inserted alkali metal ion. Dielectric measurements have been carried out as, a function of both temperature and frequency on the prepared samples in the (20-10(6)) Hz frequency range over the (240-375) K temperature interval by using the auto-balancing bridge method. At the low frequencies and at the highest investigated temperatures a strong dispersion is observed in the dielectric constant imaginary and real parts of all the investigated samples. Such a dispersion allows us to classify these manganese thiophosphate intercalation compounds like systems with hopping charge carriers whose nature changes as the guest species varies.
