The aesthetic question is more and more at centre of the discussion about town-planning themes, and pit's considerate as fundamental key to attribute the identity to the places through the composition of a clear urban image. For this end it's fundamental to identify the characteristic elements of the city, reconstructing and making visible the relations existent among the spaces, the architectures, the roads, discovering the urban design, the lost or secret elements, the mean and the centrality of the some places. Considering the importance that the cognitive phase and analysis phase of the reality assume, as essential element for the recognition of the urban identity, this paper intends to propose a method of the aesthetic analysis of the city, through a studied case: the city of Reggio Calabria. This method is based on the double approach: historical and "perceptive". The historical approach for the recomposition of the urban identity through the knowledge and the critical analysis of the events that have influenced the image of the actual city. The perceptive approach for the study of the urban components, underlining their physical and spatial characters, their way of integrating oneself in the context and of contributing aesthetic of the city. Referring to this studie case, the present paper intends to propose a method of the aesthetic analysis of the city extensible to the other urban realities.

Abstract
Referring to this studie case, the present paper intends to propose a method of the aesthetic analysis of the city extensible to the other urban realities.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
