Abstract

This paper describes a Geographic Information System, called SCENARIO, by which it is possible to acquire all the information (geographical, epidemiological, social, ethnic, etc.). Then we will describe HRAP (Health Resource Allocation Project), a project which refers to the application of SCENARIO to the planned allocation of health resources. The aim is to optimise the cost/benefit ratio for a better utilisation of the available budget and subsequently improve the health status of the population.
