BaTiO3 nanopowders have been prepared by Low Temperature Aqueus Synthesis (LTAS) to investigate the effect of different washing treatments on the Ba/Ti ratio. 2-propanol cycles have been used to minimise Ba2+ leaching and a high speed turbine mixer has been employed to increase the washing efficiency and therefore to reduce the number of washing cycles. The effect of these treatments on bith stoichiometry and morphology of the as-prepared amd therma treated powders have been examined. Relationships between the type of washing and the grain growth of BaTiO3 after thermal treatments are discussed.

Abstract
BaTiO3 nanopowders have been prepared by Low Temperature Aqueus Synthesis (LTAS) to investigate the effect of different washing treatments on the Ba/Ti ratio. 2-propanol cycles have been used to minimise Ba2+ leaching and a high speed turbine mixer has been employed to increase the washing efficiency and therefore to reduce the number of washing cycles. The effect of these treatments on bith stoichiometry and morphology of the as-prepared amd therma treated powders have been examined. Relationships between the type of washing and the grain growth of BaTiO3 after thermal treatments are discussed.File in questo prodotto:
