A quasi optical system was designed to couple the RF power coming from a gyrotron with astigmatic gaussian beam output into a transmission line consisting of an oversized corrugated waveguide. The gyrotron is capable of delivering 500 KW at 140 GHz for 0.5 s. The whole system is described together with low power tests on part of it.
