The authors outline the advantages of using thermocouple thermometry for temperature monitoring during localized electromagnetic (EM) hyperthermia. Problems faced in using metallic probes during RF power delivery are discussed from both theoretical and practical points of view. Solutions to electromagnetic interference (EMI) problems are suggested, and the actual implementation of an EMI-immune thermometric system suitable for temperature monitoring in RF hyperthermia is described.

Abstract
The authors outline the advantages of using thermocouple thermometry for temperature monitoring during localized electromagnetic (EM) hyperthermia. Problems faced in using metallic probes during RF power delivery are discussed from both theoretical and practical points of view. Solutions to electromagnetic interference (EMI) problems are suggested, and the actual implementation of an EMI-immune thermometric system suitable for temperature monitoring in RF hyperthermia is described.File in questo prodotto:
