Advanced Oxidation processes (O3/UV and O3/H2O2) are adopted for the treatment performed in a 0.2 l semicontinuous reactor of mineral oil contaminated wastewater. The system O3/UV is capable of achieving high level of purity (80 to 90% COD abatement) with reaction times not longer than 30 minutes. Modelling of the reactor system is also attempted to evaluate the rate parameters in some reaction steps. A preliminary estimation of the cost of the adopted AOP technique is provided.

Abstract
Advanced Oxidation processes (O3/UV and O3/H2O2) are adopted for the treatment performed in a 0.2 l semicontinuous reactor of mineral oil contaminated wastewater. The system O3/UV is capable of achieving high level of purity (80 to 90% COD abatement) with reaction times not longer than 30 minutes. Modelling of the reactor system is also attempted to evaluate the rate parameters in some reaction steps. A preliminary estimation of the cost of the adopted AOP technique is provided.File in questo prodotto:
